3 Thomas Kinkade Christmas cards

I was asked to make 3 cards by a client and following the brief I knew I could only use Thomas Kinkade images from Joanna Sheen's CD set.

They have all been simply matted & layered on black card and highlighted with clear star sakura pen.

Hope you like them and thank you for stopping by my blog today

A grandsons 1st birthday card

I was asked to make a card by a lady for her grandson's 1st birthday and here is the design I have come up with for her.

The digital stamp image is by Redonkulous Designs.

I have gone hybrid with this card.

The 'backing paper' is from a Craft Artist 2 digikit and I altered the colours using the 'fill' option.

The little animals were from another Craft Artist digikit.

I punched the oval in the backing paper and added a drop shadow and dragged the digi stamp into the oval.

I printed the card itself out and then printed just the digital stamp again and coloured it with promarkers.
I used 5mm foam pads to add the little boy and the balloons to give some height.

The insert was printed with the same design to match.

Simply elegant

For this card, I used some pastel linen effect card from Create & Craft and also some Centura Pearl card.
The lattice corners are from Rob Adams. They are in fact dies that cut in the card stock so I just snipped them out around the edge.
The lattice across the centre is from Spellbinders and I cut a strip from the die cut piece.
The flowers are sizzlets dies and finished with card candi.
The leaf die is from Marianne (although I may be wrong on this one)

The topper was created in Serif Craft Artist Pro 2 and printed on glossy photo paper.

Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by my blog today x

60th birthday card

I was commissioned to make a card for a gentleman celebrating his 60th birthday.
The brief was "60, Rob, Wine, Travel & Food".

I used The Wine Buffs cd rom from Card Creations and took the wine bottle and the label into Serif Craft Artist to achieve the name on the bottle neck. I then printed it out onto glossy photo paper. (this shows up better in the second photo as the flash reflected off the paper).

The font for the tiles was downloaded from the internet and also printed onto glossy photo paper, after I had rubbed over the letters with a light coating of tea dye distress ink.

The bottle and the tiles were matted onto the backing paper with foam pads.

To finish I punched out the '60th' from the glossy paper. I threaded some burgundy ribbon around the back of the bottle neck and crossed it over at the front and glued it down before applying the punched disc with a foam pad.

Floral Birthday card made with Hobby Art Stamps

I have made this birthday card today from 'Anna's Collection - Special Wishes'
stamp set from HobbyArts. A really pretty set and the flowers are lovely.

I took 2 x 6" square hammered cards and chopped 1 in half and trimmed it to create the square topper and then gutted it to make the frame. I used one of the blossom stamps in the corner on the main card and painted them with water colour paints.

I flipped over the square and stamped the 3 flowers onto the space so I would know where to place the others later.

I stamped the flowers out again 3 times of the reverse of centura pearl card stock and painted them with watercolour paints. Then cut them out and shaped them and added clear star sakura glitter pen in the centre.

I stamped the sentiment onto the frame.
I used the really nice leaf stamp around the frame and edged with Crushed Olive Distress ink

Finally I die cut 2 small butterflies. I coloured one through the die with distress ink and the other I used Glitter Paste in copper from Pinflair.

Male birthday card

I was asked to make a card for a client's son who like's gaming.

I cut the shape 4 times on a Silhouette Cameo to give some depth to the console

On the top layer, I added the button detail's from photographs ( I don't have one myself for reference).
I then added a layer of acetate on the top level. Then a plain layer, then the printed layer on the 3rd level.
I measure the size of the aperture and printed the 'screen' from Craft Artist Professional 2 software.
The last layer was left blank then the whole structure adhered to the card blank.

The backing paper was created in Craft Artist Professional 2 and matted onto some black cardstock

Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by my blog today
