A card from one sister to another

I was asked to make a card for a lady to send to her sister who's husband is back and forth from hospital and is not very well at all. The husband has been receiving loads of cards (as you'd expect) but the lady wanted to send one to her sister as she is really struggling as well. She wanted something "light" just to let her sister know she is thinking of her everyday.
I had some daisy backing paper and it goes so well with one of the decoupage popcorn teddies from Crafters Companion. The lattice was cut with the craft robo

Hope you like it and thank you for looking xxx

Craft Robo card

I had a birthday card to make for an order and as I'm still not feeling 100% I thought I would dust off the Craft Robo and give it an airing so I made this earlier and stamped a beautiful rose on to the patterned card stock and painted it with mica paints. Its for a father to give to his daughter.

Hope you like it and thank you for looking xx

Rainbow Lady Challenge #38

Pop over to Rainbow lady's challenge blog to see what this weeks challenge entails (making a monotone card from just one colour from the 7 colours of the rainbow). I'll leave you to ascertain what colour I went for LOL
I used the Cute Companion Xmas CD for the letters and the backing sheet with the central sheet again being a freebie from a magazine. Thank you to Shirley Young for the holly shape that I cut from the craft robo

First Dutch card

One of my clients has asked me to make 2 cards for a Dutch couple he knows that always send him a birthday card and Christmas card every year. So I have googled the correct wording and here is the card I have made for the lady - her name is Lies but it is pronounced as in Lisa but drop the "ah" sound at the end ( Leece). I used a template from the Just Cutters 2 cd for the windmill itself and the Sassy Chic My Craft Studio CD for the tulips. I printed off one of the flowers sheets and cut out the tulips to put on the corners of the card. I then used a metallic sakura brown pen to put the "wood" on the sails. I was asked to keep it flat as it has to go to Holland so I do hope the gentleman likes what I have done. I now have to do one for the Dutch gentleman

Card for a nephew

Sarah's nephew is 2 on Sunday so here is the card I have made for him on her behalf. The clouds and letters for his name were cut on the craft robo then I stippled the edges before I removed them from the carrier sheet. The train is from the Crafters Companion "BOYS" cd. This is a large A4 card and the backing paper is one I have on my hard-drive

I liked it that much .........................

..... I made another one LOL. I transposed the template to my craft robo and made 2 templates then joined them together at the spine. I printed off some sheets from a Crafters Companion CD and covered it with those - my next project is to print direct to card on both sides before putting the card through the Robo. If you do this, make sure your pattern doesn't have a one-way design or when you turn the flaps on the inside - the pattern will be upside down
