Looks better in the flesh .................

It looks like there are black dots all over this flower but it is in fact Sakura Clear glitter pen and it does look a whole lot better in the flesh. I'm not sure its one of my best cards if I'm honest and I will debate over it before I decide to send it, Its the same flower as I did in a recent post and simply done with 2 layers this time and layered onto some red holographic card. The jury is still out so helpful comment would be appreciated xxx

  1. Think the red takes the look away from the flower.

  2. I'd have to agree with the other blogger but i take it its hollygraphic card and that could look different in the flesh LOL

  3. Difficult to tell in the scan Cazz but I reckon the red might be a wee bit too heavy. Very pretty card though.

  4. Hi Cazz, I think the large piece of holographic card on the left hand side is maybe too much. A suggestion is maybe, if you still want to use it, is just make it a little wider than the rose background.

  5. I would only mat and layer the rose piccy on the red.....not have the red so big if you know what I mean. I agree that it takes a bit away from the rose. The rest of the card is lovely....the colours are beautiful. I just think the red needs to be reduced a tinsy bit. Louise Emma

  9. I think it has the making of a beautiful card because the proportins are all spot on, the image and background are really pretty and delicate but I too don't like the red. Now I am biased as I don't like red with pink so until I read the others comments I wasn't sure if it was just me being odd! A bit like I don't do orange - no reason I just don't like it at all, in any form. I'd lighten the look by putting something else in for the red -vellum or a soft pastel of any shade that's in the rose pic - pink, green or is that cream or pale yellow in it? Any way you could try it against it and if you like the red better you stick to your guns because it is still a very pretty card Caz.

  10. Sorry Cazz have to agree with the majority and vote to change the red. Perhaps a soft green like Rhonda suggests or a pale pink. x

  11. ooh Cazz don't be upset but I have to agree about the red. The card itself is beautiful but I don't think that red goes too well with the pale pink rose.
