On a roll ...............

Made this birthday card, just cos I could :-) And not wishing to waste anything, the large flowers were cut from a complement card sent with my recent order from Sharon Duncan's website (which is also where the Spring time backing paper pad came from and the Fairy Doodles stamp set) So pop over to Sharon Duncans site
Hope you like it and thank you for looking xxx

My 1st Xmas card of 2009

And here it is - my 1st card of the year. I watched Barbara Grey (forgive me if I've got her name wrong) on Create and Craft yesterday and loved her demonstrations and using a tree template that I cut on the craft robo I have come up with this.
Hope you like it and thank you for looking xxx

Craft Robo card

I had a birthday card to make for an order and as I'm still not feeling 100% I thought I would dust off the Craft Robo and give it an airing so I made this earlier and stamped a beautiful rose on to the patterned card stock and painted it with mica paints. Its for a father to give to his daughter.

Hope you like it and thank you for looking xx

Another card for Kelsey ..........

Made this card on behalf of my mum & dad to give to Kelsey (their great-grand-daughter). Its from the Flower Fairies CD by Crafters Companion
Hope you like it and thank you for looking

Card for my Great-niece

My great-niece has her birthday sometime this week and she'll be a single figure age but I don't know what lol. Anyway, she's my little princess so what better design to use for her than the castle design on the Crafters Companion Girls cd.
Hope you like and thank you for looking xxx

Sympathy card

I was asked to make a sympathy card but the request was for one that wasn't "too mournful". It was a difficult card to make as I knew the young man that passed away - I went to school with him and we were the same age. its still not certain what happened - he was in perfect health and his wife and daughter came into the room and found him dead on the floor. This card is for my mums friend to give to his mother.
I hope it is okay - I have tried to keep it understated

Theatrically inspired birthday card

I was asked to make a card for a grand-daughters birthday who is interested in the theatre. I was going to use the traditional Comedy / Tragedy theatrical masks but as the young lady concerned is only 13, decided on the end to go for a more unusual mask theme (I just hope her and indeed her grandfather like it now)

Baby girl card

I was asked to make a card for a couple who have just had their second child so I came up with this design. The central mamelock image is mounted onto a piece of folded acetate so it springs out.

The backing papers are a mixture of Daisy & Dandelion and Doodlebug bubblegum.
The felt flowers are a freebie from this months Papercrafts Inspirations and the sentiment plates and butterflies are from a Kanban accessories box

Photo's of freaky weather on Friday 17th July 2009

The photo above was really spooky as you can see all the mist rising from the ground and with it being a churchyard - that adds to the effect :-) This is the one that was shown on BBC Look East on Friday evening. Its hard to believe it was taken in JULY !!!

These 2 photographs were only taken about 15 minutes apart (if that) and you can clearly see how quickly it got dark - the solar garden lights even came on

Latest card using Joanna Sheens Eastern Treasure's cd

I have made this using the decoupage and backing papers from JS Eastern Treasures CD. The card is a sideways opening A5 style for a change and I don't have Chinese coins so made them from card using a 1" circle punch and colouring them with Colonial metallic rub on and threading the ribbon through the centre.
Hope you like it and thank you for looking xxx

Some more jewellery made this weekend

I really must look into taking better photo's !! A piece of jewellery doesn't scan as nice as a card does LOL
The earrings in the middle were made to match the necklace previously shown in another post
Hope you like them and thank you for looking xxx

Papertake weekly sketch challenge 14.07.09

There's a new sketch over on Papertake Weekly Challenge and here is my take on the sketch. Its a very simple interpretation of the sketch and is mainly Daisy & Dandelion papers and a simple fairy sticker mounted onto a piece of spare card
Hope you like it and thank you for looking xxx

Dare u 2 Digi-Stamp Challenge

This is a new challenge site to me but thought I would join in anyway. The site is the Dare U 2 Digistamp blog and this week its "anything but a card".

So I have made this ATC using a digistamp of "Simple's". But please forgive me as I have forgotten the lady's site where I got it from :-(
