Cambridge Steampunk Rally Sunday 7th July 2013

thank goodness for Serif - last minute card

Just about to go out the door for work earlier and it dawned on me its a clients birthday today.

So quickly opened up Serif CraftArtist 2, chose a digikit - British Street Party in this case and dragged on the Union Flag background. Using "Bleeding Cowboys" font, I added the sentiment in white with a black shadow. Then, in what HAS to be the worst photograph ever, I added the sentiment below to the back of the card - he will see the funny side of it.

I used a digistamp from Jellypark  - the button is over there ----->

I took the image into Serif Craft Artist 2 and added the 'Keep Calm' bit.

Printed it out and the coloured it in with Promarkers and sakura stardust pens. 

The added a few buttons etc to add interest 

"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag"

Whilst I don't have a garden, I do have a communal car park. Its secluded and surrounded by tree's and bushes. Subsequently, we get lots of birds around so I like to go out and feed them. Lidls bird food is, luckily, their favourite and they go through a good 2 bags a week. Today I decided to upgrade the container from a plastic bag to a cereal dispenser - I know, I know, my creativity knows no bounds.

Well, then I decided the cereal dispenser looked a bit plain too, so opened up the Silhouette Cameo software and created this sentiment. It was also a good lesson in welding words together so not a wasted half hour at all.
