Favour bixes. BIXES???? Boxes I meant
I was trying to be all 'artistic' with my photography skills - failed there then LOL
The 2nd image isn't much better but needless to say, the exterior of all the boxes are now finished and packed away safely in a storage box.
The message plate reads
Carol & Bernie
27th September 2008
Love is the magic that
Brings two hearts together
And makes them one
The heart cut outs have been lined with lilac pearlescent card and the ribbon is lilac satin (the throw is from J D Williams if anyone is interested lol)
Tapestry stamps
Evening all, hope you are all well. I have made this for a friends birthday - I am sorry about the scan image xxx The flower bud lifted it off the scanner bed so the rest isn't in great focus. I used the little fairy stamp again from Stampativity and also dusted down my tapestry stamps and used those for the border. The scan has made her look a lot more 'pink and yellow haired' than she actually is.
For fans of Clear acrylic stamps
Morning all, whilst browsing t'internet this morning, I came across this site and though I would share it with you. The stamp designs are a bit quirky which I think adds to their appeal. Hope you like it

Phew - what a scorcher of a day....
Evening everyone - what a scorcher its been today. All I have done is made myself some breakfast, some lunch and some tea - apart from that I have totally chilled out. Mind you, I did make the above card earlier this evening once it had cooled down a bit. I wasn't too sure about the colour combinations at first so I left it sitting on my desk then when I came back upstairs and looked at it again, it looked okay to me so I'm happy now. Its again made with Fred's faux foldy flowers and one of Fred's backing papers. All I have changed since taking the photo, is I've put some gold stickles in the centre of the flowers as I was being distracted by the blue centre.

Envelope template site
A lot of you will already know about this site but it certainly won't hurt to get the word out whilst the site is still open.
The template is for a beautiful envelope card that is helping to raise much needed funds for a branch of Samaritans in Spain
Click here to be taken to the site and help this worthy cause xx
Is it Friday already?
I'm sure that this time last week it was only Thursday - where are the days going?
Its another beautiful start to the day here in St. Neots and I have loads to do so I shall be a hot sweaty heap by the time I get home tonight (now there's a nice mental image for you LOL). But the plus point is I have 2 whole days off work this weekend which is great news for me - even if the weather man (or woman) is forecasting rain - I don't have to cycle in it, so I don't care LOL
So I had better get a wriggle on and get myself sorted and out the door so I shall love and leave you all for now and catch up with you soon xx
Have a nice day everyone and thank you for dropping by xx

Thinking of you
A lovely friend has lost a dear relative this week and I have made this to let her know that I am thinking of her. The backing is some paper lace that I bought from Craft Central and its been sitting in a drawer as I didn't have the right occasion to use it, and now sadly I have. The topper was a bit of a mistake if I am truly honest but I was really impressed with what came out once I started messing about with it. I stamped the lily image with versamark ink, then used clear embossing powder on it. I then spritzed over it with some pigment powder mixed with water but I wasn't too impressed. I left it to dry then gave it a blast with the heat gun and then rubbed over it with a cotton wool ball. This removed a lot of the pigment but gave a nice sheen. I then took my chalks and again rubbed over the sheet with a couple of colours and this is what happened. I really like it. I then matted and layered it onto the backing sheet with the pale lilac card strip behind it and then placed a sheet of acetate over the entire front of the card to prevent the chalk rubbing off. The silver peel off and adhesive stones were added on top of the acetate, which was held in place with lilac brads.
Anniversary card
I was asked to make a wedding anniversary card for a man to give to his daughter and son-in-law. He only wanted something simple so this is what I came up with. The sheet and toppers are from Crafters Companion LOVE 2 CD. I loaded the banner from the data section of the CD into Greeting Card Factory so that I could add the text for the message plate.
Good morning all xxx
Hi everyone and what a beautiful day - and its going to be warm, I can feel it in the air already. Yesterday, despite the cloudy start, turned into a really glorious day albeit very humid as they was still a lot of cloud cover.
The above card is for a man to give to his daughter who loves narrow boats and likes 'simple' styles cards so I think this fits the bill quite well.
The backing paper is one of Fred's flower papers.

Cloudy start to the day again ...
Good morning all and welcome to Wednesday. Where's our sunshine gone??? Its supposed to be warm and sunny today and I've woken up to a blanket of cloud this morning - still at least its not raining so that is a bonus.
Aaron is the eldest at the back, followed by Kelsey Sky on his right and then last but by no means least is Ciera on his left. They are just delightful children but can be a handful at times but on the whole they are lovely.
I thought I would post this picture that my brother-in-law sent me of my niece's 3 children - the picture was taken on a mobile so its not the best quality in the world

My thank you card to my dress maker
My wedding dress arrived on Saturday morning (as you know from an earlier post) and I've been toying an idea over in my head for the past day or so since seeing Glenda from Artylicious do a demo on Create & Craft recently. So this is the card I came up with, again using the gorgeous Fred's flowers and 2 butterflies from Robert Addams Butterflies CD. Its a 21cm square card so I need to make a box for it later to post it xxx

Quick themed birthday card
Bern rang me earlier and asked if I had any ready made card's as he needed one for the cleaner at work. I said I only had "girlie" cards but that I would make him something appropiate. I used Greeting Card Factory and the cute little cleaner image. I simply added Kevins name to the top and printed out the cleaner twice and done a touch of decoupage. Sent a pic to Berns phone and he says it looks just like Kev LOL
Stamperama show in Stevanage
Afternoon all, saw the details for a stamping show in a magazine so thought I would post details here in case anyone was interested in going.
Click here for further details. I went last year and whilst its not a huge show, its a nice afternoon out none the less.
For fans of Chris Warners CD's

I've been crying this morning
But they are all tears of joy as my wedding dress arrived today :-)
I have tried it on and it fits like a glove and when I stood in front of the mirror all the stresses and strains of the past few months just drained away and I just cried (daft muppet that I am).
The dress is just gorgeous as are the 2 waistcoats that she made for Bernie and James too.
And am I going to show you a picture??? No I'm not LOL
It has certainly lightened my mood and I just wanted to share it with you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Its a wet start to the weekend
Morning all from Soggy St. Neots - its 'orrible outside my hobbit room window this morning and - oh well. And having just opened the window, its windy too - lovely LOL
I am on a wee bit of a high though - I have broken the top 100 barrier on the crafty blog rating system - so a very big thank you to everyone that visits my site and I won some blog candy from Jaks site - a gorgeous ATC. There are also details there of the latest La Pashe Remember When... series. Stunning artwork again from Jim Harker and brilliant design sheets from the La Pashe team led wonderfully by Jak herself.
I am waiting for the postman today as I have a package being redelivered and it could be 1 of 3 things and I'd be excited to get any of them today. The most important package I am waiting for is my wedding dress, the 2nd package is a new waterproof coat (which would be quite handy today seeing as I have to go to work this morning) and my free gift from Crafters Companion for taking out a magazine subscription - so bring it on Mr (Or Mrs) Postman xxx
Well, I hope you all have a lovely day and thank you again for cheering me up when I logged on this morning xxx
Take care and stay safe xx

Robert Adams "Flowers" cd
I have made this card & matching envelope this evening from the beautiful Robert Adams "Flowers" cd, it really is a delight to work with. The Happy birthday banner looks like it has been printed onto vellum - but I shall let you into my secret on this one. I printed the background sheet for the card itself and used that on the bottom 2/3rd of the card. I then went into the "greetings" section and printed out a whole sheet of Happy Birthday greetings in the pink - lets face it, none of them will go to waste. I then went back into the backing paper section, choose the paler sheet and re-inserted the happy birthday print off back into the printer and set it off to print the paler background. Then when you come to layer the happy birthday banner on the backing paper, they should match up and it looks like vellum. I found this out by accident though but the effect is great and that's the best way to learn. Hope you like the end result xxxx

Thank you card
I have made this to say thank you to someone for their generosity. They will see who its for when they receive it through the post. I need to make a box now to post it in. The flowers are the FAUX FLOWERS again from Tracy's blog shop so please visit the link on the right if you are interested. The backing papers are from my own stash xxx

Fred's flowers
My apologies to the lady that originally put these flowers on her blog, but thank you to Karen J for giving us the link to her blog. They are just delicious and are called Freds Flowers. I have used the pink set here with some plain green card for the matting. I cut the name on my craft robo. I have forgotten to add the "happy birthday" plate but will add that before I give the card to the customer for him to give to his grand-daughter.
Must go and find out who originally posted the flowers and give her the credit she deserves xx
Why did I stay up so late LOL
Morning all from a bleary eyed blogger this morning LOL. That will teach me to stay up til way past midnight painting with H2O's. But having seen the card in its full daylight glory this morning, I think it was well worth the effort.
Its rather cloudy here in the Eastern Counties at the moment but there's supposed to be some sunshine floating in later today so there's always hope. I don't want rain though - that can wait til this evening once I am home LOL
Hope you all have a good day and catch you later xxx
Late night crafting LOL
Made this earlier for a member of the birthday card club - so if she's looking, she's spoilt the surprise now LOL. I cut out the Celtic knot on the craft robo so if anyone would like the GSD file, please let me know. I then stuck them onto a black gate fold card and painted them in bright jewel H2O's. They do look a lot brighter on the black card in the flesh.
And with that, I will love you and leave you and head off for my bed xxx
Night night all xxx

Good morning and welcome to Monday
Morning all - lovely and sunny here in the Eastern Counties this morning - can only hope it is as nice in your neck of the woods. I woke up at 3.30am today and just could not get back to sleep - even the housemates in the Big Brother house had all gone to bed so there was nothing interesting to watch on E4 at that time of the morning. Thank goodness I had some craft shows saved on my freeview box - I put that on and watched some shows I had recorded last week and made some mental notes of techniques and cards to try at some stage - I'll put them on my TO-DO list lol
Well, I must get a wriggle on and get ready for work so I shall love you and leave you for now and catch up with you all soon xxx
But before I do go, thank you all for popping back and sending my rating up on the crafty blog site. I was at over 500 last week when I joined the scheme and now I in the 200's somewhere - so thank you peoples xxxxxx
Anyway - have a lovely day everyone, stay safe and be happy xxxxxxxxxx

Welcome to Sunny Sunny Sunday
Good morning everyone from a really nice and sunny eastern counties. I say morning even though its almost mid-day but technically its still morning. I had to be up early (ish) as I had a Tesco food shop being delivered between 10am & 12 and didn't want to answer the door to the driver in my pj's - not a good look for me in the morning LOL. I've done my chores for the morning - the ironing will wait til 2pm so I can watch Create and Craft at the same time then later on today I shall back up to the hobbit room and start crafting again - have lots to do this month (as I seem to have every month LOL).
Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday xxx
Card for one of my clients xxx
I have made this card from the Robert Adams ROSES cd - I just love this CD xxx. I normally use glossy paper for my decoupage but decided to opt for a iridescent paper for a change and I think you will agree - its a lovely effect on the rose itself. I then matted and layered the topper onto some mulberry paper and a mat of rainbow paper (I think this is sometimes known as Shimmer Paper). I have also made the insert to match.
